CONNECT THE DOTS

Whenever I have a nice lunch, a business casual meeting, or want to go shopping at some fancy boutiques, my outfit of choice is always a nice button-up silk blouse and a pair of designer denim.  There’s something about the two that says I’m easy-going, but I take my fashion seriously.

I like to kick it up a notch by wearing lingerie that I wouldn’t mind peeking out slightly from my blouse.  It’s like putting the puzzle pieces together and connecting the dots.  It just fits.

Do yourself a favor and invest in a few nice silk blouses.  It’s pricey, but it’s definitely worth the fit, the cut, the quality, and the workmanship.  I recommend Equipment as your brand of choice for luxury blouses.  They usually run around $200-$250 at regular price, which is kind of stiff for a shirt, but they go on sale often and become half of it’s original price.  My cut of choice from this brand would be their Slim Signature Blouse.  This brand is sold at most high-end department stores as well as online stores.  Shop around and you’ll find some great pieces that are on sale right now.

The next best thing to an Equipment blouse is a custom made silk blouse, which is what I’m seen wearing here.  I have had the luxury of picking out my own silk fabrics and had them made into custom fit blouses.  My torso is extra long, but my arms are not, so having shirts custom made to fit my proportions is key to a great blouse.  I love tiny polka-dotted shirts because it reminds me of the 60s and 70s.  It screams vintage to me, which also means classy to me.  Here’s a similar look, but if you really wanted to splurge

I’m really into high rise jeans right now so I’m wearing a really old pair of Citizens for Humanity Hutton Wide Leg Jeans.  It’s high rise, wide leg, and has a slight stretch to the fabric.  What I love most about this pair of denim is the dark, rich fabric.  It slightly flares at the bottom, which gives this look an extra vintage vibe.  Here’s a similar look.

I’m a bit under-the-weather today due to the constant temperature change.  My body is all out of whack because it doesn’t know if it’s cold or hot.  Is anyone else feeling sick from the weather changes?
