Holiday Style 2020 : Anything Goes

The year is already coming to an end and I’m not even sure what I did the last nine months of my life. If there’s one thing that can be said to round up 2020, it’s that anything goes. You can wear sweatpants anywhere and at anytime, and if you suddenly show up decked out head to toe in diamonds, no one would blink an eye because…we all understand.

Which is why I partnered up with Revolve this holiday season to show you three different outfits that range from fancy, black-tie formal all the way to your comfy couch in a sexy bodysuit and sweatpants. No matter what your plans are this holiday, there’s an outfit for the occasion. So here’s my take on Goldilocks and the Three Bears with holiday styling : too much, too little, and just enough bling.

ALL OUT GLAM

Michael Costello x Revolve Eric Gown

Sometimes a girl just wants to get dressed up, get fancy and pretend like she’s Cinderella headed to the ball, and that’s exactly what you get with this beautiful Eric Gown by Michael Costello.

Brown is the IT color of the year and this rich bronze-colored dress glides and sways as I walk in my platform heels. I cannot get enough of this long flowy skirt and tie-waist that makes me feel ever so elegant and classy. This is definitely the dress I would wear if I were to attend a fancy couples party with my small group of social distancing friends.

FANCY TOP

Camila Coelho Giselle Top

Holiday to me means shiny, new things. It’s also the perfect time to wear that sparkly, sequins < insert clothing item here > that you have been waiting to bust out because you deserve all the attention. This year of all deserves extra self-care and attention, and the Giselle Top by Camila Coehlo gives you just the right amount of skin, bling and puffy sleeves to party your way through 2021.

You know I am a fan of crop tops and this gives me all the fancy that I need for a gathering with close friends, but we still keeping it pseudo-caj. There is a cut-out back with a back hook and eye-closure. I paired this top with some high-waist black denim and platform Docs.

COZIED UP

superdown Candice Halter Bodysuit

I decided that I am going to stay local to LA this year and will not be going home to Dallas for the holidays. Staying home for me means I can wear whatever the fck I want. I want to feel comfortable but still sexy. And if you have someone special to spend that time with, why not throw on that superdown Candice Halter Bodysuit and pair it up with some joggers.

My favorite part about this outfit is that I am still in my own element, but I’m not neglecting my need to feel pretty and attractive. I want to go into the new year with a new found hope for finding love, being creative, exploring the world again, and connecting face to face with loved ones. I might be cozied up with my dog, and this cute bodysuit outfit is just the right amount for the both of us.

Look at you, you’ve made it this far, and I am so proud of you for continuing on despite it all.

@WETHEURBAN

I wish you all a very joyous and safe holiday. The last nine months may have been a whirlwind, and many of us are afraid to wish for a happy new year in fear of jinxing it, but I do hope that your outfits be fabulous, your smiles be bright and your glasses always be half full. Happy Holidays!!

xx, Linda
