SHADOWS

The heat has been unbearable in Los Angeles.  I normally like to shoot my outfits at this particular white wall off Melrose in WeHo.  However, the heat made it particularly hard to want to do anything that required changing outfits in a car (#bloggerproblems).  My friend Laurie and I decided that it’s best to just shoot the outfits at my building so that I can change outfits in my air conditioned studio.  This change of scenery became a new visual of shadows that have become my new inspiration in blog photos.  Sure, it’s a bit more artistic than street style.  However, I started this fashion blog so that I may visually and creatively express myself in another outlet other than acting.  So why hold back on the shadow play and creativity, right?

Forever 21 has been killing it in the style selections this summer, and I’ve been snagging up gorgeous dresses left and right from them.  I’m wearing the Paisley Maxi Dress from their contemporary collection, which is currently on sale.  This dress WILL sell out if it hasn’t already.

I love the print and color of this dress.  It goes great with my tanned skin.  I also like that it has a slight mermaid silhouette, which makes this dress even more dreamy than it is.  It’s a perfect dress for those of us that are short in stature and need something that make us look a bit taller.

My dog, Kenzie, has a serious case of #FOMO.  The minute she saw the camera, she knew we were going to do a photoshoot.  She kept barking while we were shooting around the building, and eventually I let her participate in the shoot.  It’s like she knows how to pose and smile.  Too cute!
