WORN TWO WAYS

You know when you put on a dress and think to yourself, hmm, could this possibly be a little too short to wear out in public, but it’s too cute to not wear it?  Yeah, that happens to me more than not because of my ridiculously long torso.  Often those dresses don’t even make it home with me from the store; however, I do make an exception every once in a while when a beautiful print is too good to pass up.

I recently went to the Novella Royale sample sale in Costa Mesa (see SALES), and found this beautiful “gold lilly” print from their Spring 2016 collection.  Yes, it might be (so) last year, but I find certain prints and styles eternal, and this is one of them.

I can literally style this Otis Dress two ways, which I happen so to do by accident. I couldn’t decide if I liked it better worn as a cute top with a tie-neck or a retro-style dress, so I decided to just do both.  This is a great way to take an outfit from day to night.  I’ll wear it with denim shorts during the day, and take off the shorts and wear it as a dress for a quick night cap with my friends.  Here are a few other dresses I’ve selected that can be worn two ways:
