COFFEE BREAK

The past couple of days leading up to Christmas and after Christmas have been rather hectic, chaotic, and out right crazy for me. Understand that I live a single life in LA with my dog, and going home to Dallas means kids, more kids, elders, dogs, parents, and kids again. With all this frenzy, sometimes you just want to take a break from it all and grab a cup of coffee. My coffee of choice would be Alfred’s iced coffee with one pump vanilla and room for half and half. My outfit of choice would be the following:

My addiction for One Teaspoon denim has once again emerged, and this time it’s in the form of One Teaspoon Pacifica Cutoffs in Romeos, which are currently on sale at Nasty Gal. I’ve mentioned before in my post, BANDITS, that this Aussie brand has a tendency to run big, so my recommendation would be to order a size down. However, after reading all the reviews on Nasty Gal, I decided to order my regular size 25 because everyone was saying how small and fitted this particular style is. My conclusion? Yes, this particular style does run more fitted on the hips and booty; however, the waist is still extremely large and loose on me. Not sure a size 24 would have fit better on my hips and thighs, but it sure would have fit better on my waist. Here’s a similar look that’s also on sale.

I’m wearing Nasty Gal’s After Party Vintage Tried and True Flannel in Navy, which is currently on sale for less than $35. I purchased this whole outfit during their Oh SH!T sale that took an additional 40% off sale items, (see SALES for more details). This is my first time to purchase clothing from Nasty Gal and they did not disappoint. This shirt is comfortable, stylish, and easy-to-wear. It also comes in the color red, which is also on sale.

What I love about this casual, laid-back outfit is that you can wear it almost year round in SoCal. A boyfriend-style plaid shirt, a pair of denim shorts or jeans, and a cup of coffee is all you need to fit right into that SoCal vibe.

I’ve paired this outfit with an old pair of Steve Madden Chevie Combat Boots. This particular boot can be worn in many ways. I love that there is colored fabric on the inside, which can be worn seen folded down or hidden when laced up. Here’s a similar look.
