After seeing all the great trends and fashion from NYFW this past week I feel like there are so many fabulous things that I want to buy this coming fall: jackets, coats, shoes, sunglasses, etc.. However, my wallet says otherwise…whomp, whomp. So, I have decided to just pick out the top five things that I would like to have in my closet this fall. Some are already on sale, some are just plain affordable, and then there’s that one splurge.
ONE | QUAY AUSTRALIA SUNGLASSES
I just bought myself two pairs of Quay Australia sunglasses from Nasty Gal. Quays is an Aussie brand that has been seen on a lot of LA young celebrities like Shay Mitchell and Kylie Jenner. What I love about this brand is that they are stylish, affordable and high quality for its price range. The two I decided to get are the Isabelle Cat-Eye Shades and the Exclusive Quay Invader Shades in Irridescent. Both of these shades are super trendy, but they will last me all the way through LA fall season.
TWO | FRINGE
Fringe was seen everywhere during NYFW. Rachel Zoe had fringe throughout her whole Spring 2016 collection. Aimee Song of Song of Style is pictured here wearing Polo Ralph Lauren’s leather suede fringe jacket. I’m sure this jacket is out of my price range, but I found these similar jackets:
BCBG Max Azria Farrell Fringe Jacket (at Shopbop)
Express No Collar Faux Suede Fringe Jacket
They are right on trend, but easier on the wallet.
THREE | STUDDED BOOTS
Two words. Studded. Boots. I WANT them so bad. They are chic and masculine at the same time. I can wear them right now with denim shorts or a fall colored flowy dress and leather jacket. There are so many options! The pair featured here is the Charlie Boot with Silver Studs by Anine Bing. This is definitely a splurge, but at $699, it’s comparable to the ever more expensive Valentino or Chloe. These boots will become a staple in my closet.
FOUR | BURGANDY There are many reasons why I love red wine: it is great for date night, it gets me drunk, and it has a rich burgandy color. Wine is the perfect color to wear this fall. It can be worn on your lips, as a body contour dress, or a trench coat. My personal pick is the Bailey 44 Exclusive Leather-Like Pencil Skirt sold at Intermix. This skirt just looks yummy and I can’t wait to wear it out on date night with some stilettos.
FIVE | RAILS
If supermodel Cindy Crawford can wear Rails in the September issue of Vogue magazine, then ANYONE can. I love Rails plaid shirts. They are seriously the most comfortable thing to put on when it is chilly outside and you want to look casual yet stylish. I know a lot of people think it is not worth spending over $100 on a flannel shirt that you can find for $1 at a flea market, but trust me, this is not your usual flannel. If you don’t believe me, then try one out for half the price at Saks Off 5th. Saks Off 5th is offering free shipping to its’ insider members. Read more about it in my SALES page.
