COLORS OF THE WIND

The title of this post is sort of cheesy being that it’s borrowed from a popular Disney animated feature film song.  Okay.  It’s VERY cheesy, but I seriously felt like the wind was the key player of this photoshoot.  The view was breathtaking.  The ocean water was cold and crisp.  However, the wind took me by storm and tousled my hair and dress in every which way.  It was hard to hold onto my hat, needless to say, wear it on my head.  The wind was magical and it made me realize just how alive this planet is.  The nature of its beauty is entangled in these shots.  The outfit might be white, but you can see colors in the creases and folds as the dress billowed in the wind.

This gorgeous gauze dress I have on is the Tularosa Eloisa Maxi Dress in White.  It’s the perfect beach and summer dress.  The cutouts in the front give it an extra kick of sexiness, so that the dress stands out from all the other white maxi dresses.  The straps are adjustable so I can lengthen and shorten it based on my heel height.  The cotton-blend fabric is nice and thick with a full lining so I don’t have to worry about my undergarments showing through, even in direct sunlight.

In the short amount of time since I purchased this dress, it is now sold out.  Here are some very similar looks:

This fabulous SunBody Classic Gambler/River Boat Hat was found at the recent Reformation Sample Sale a couple of weeks ago.  Boater hats have become a trend this spring and is still moving forward into summer fashion.  Accessories like this are essential in creating a look that is unique and individual to you.  Here are some other similar styles that I love:

I had a blast shooting at El Matador State Beach in Malibu, but it was rather crowded on a Sunday afternoon.  Are there other beaches that you like/recommend shooting at that isn’t as crowded on the weekend?  I feel like I’m asking a rhetorical question since it’s most likely impossible to find an empty beach on a weekend.  Haha!
