I attended the Coach 1941 celebration event at Coach Rodeo Drive a couple of weeks ago. I wanted a super cute outfit to wear, but didn’t want to look like I was trying too hard. That’s when I stumbled upon this little gem of a fashion truck in The Village at Westfield Topanga. J.D. Luxe is a local LA brand that runs online, but also has a fashion truck that resides in Woodland Hills. I would characterize their brand as SoCal boho chic.
This Christina Polka Dot Set was the first outfit I saw on a mannequin placed outside the truck, and I knew I had to try it on. They only carry sizes S, M, and L which can be troublesome for someone petite like me. I ended up purchasing a size S in both the top and bottom (sold separately), and had my good girlfriend create a temporary alteration on the waist of the skirt so I could wear it that evening. I have since taken it in to alterations to have it fitted correctly because I probably needed an XS, which doesn’t exist (whomp whomp).
The fabric is super soft and comfy. I especially love the back of the top. The tie in the back gives me the flexibility to wear the top loose or fitted around my frame. I think this is perfect for girls with more up top but still have a small frame. I could wear this crop top separately with vintage Levi’s and some Gucci sandals.
J. D. Luxe is not yet available through LikeToKnow. It, but I have linked a SaboSkirt two-piece outfit that is very similar and very cute.
Ray-Ban Clubmaster Classic Sunglasses / Forever 21 Chunky Platform Sandals (sold out | similar look on sale) / Vintage Chanel 2.55 Double Flap Bag in Grey Fabric with Contrasting Coco Print Stamp (hand-me-down from my mother)
There’s been a sudden heat wave passing through Los Angeles and it’s gotten me excited about my upcoming projects that will show some swimwear and summer fashion. I’m thinking of making a trip to the beach this weekend. Anyone else excited for summer fashion?
