My closet is literally filled to brim with coats and jacket, which is ironic since I live in LA. However, I can never pass up a great outerwear, especially when it’s on sale and not already in my closet. I never want to be that girl who looks at someone else and wish that I was wearing what they were wearing versus what I have on myself. I don’t want to be the jealous one. I want everyone else to be green with envy of my outfit, and sometimes that means buying myself another coat.
I’ve been eyeing this Lioness New York Minute Robe Coat from Nasty Gal since last October. It’s trench like, it’s robe like, it’s awesome like. It’s also on sale right now. I purchased this coat in December when they had the additional 40% off sale on sale, which made this coat a MUST-BUY.
I got this in an XS, and it can get tight on the arms if I wear anything too thick underneath. This is great for layering over a long-sleeve blouse, but I wouldn’t wear a chunky sweater underneath. I recently travelled to Dallas, TX with this coat and had to stuff it in my suitcase. It didn’t get wrinkled and came out perfectly fine when I unpacked my bags. The fabric is decent for the price I purchased it at, but I would personally recommend that you wait until this coat goes on additional sale or additional markdown before purchasing it.
This coat also comes in the color black and gray, which are also on sale.
I’m wearing an old ZARA Short Sleeve Knit Top (similar look), and an old LFStores faux-leather skirt (similar look).
ZARA Silver Metallic Pumps (sold out | similar look) / Gentle Monster Dreamer 01 Sunglasses
This is the last blog post outfit with my hair still long. I have since chopped off the length of my hair for something more sophisticated and modern. Stay tuned for the new haircut. And as always, let me know if you have any questions, suggestions or comments! Thanks for reading!

Love that coat, but I especially love how you mixed the textures of your shirt and skirt!
Thanks! The coat is very portable, which helps me out a lot since I’ve been traveling a lot lately to colder places, but don’t necessarily need it when I’m flying back to LA.
People get scared of mixing patterns or textures because it can look like a big mess if you’re not careful. I say as long as the prints/patterns flow and the textures don’t overwhelm one another, then mix and match away. Greatly appreciate your feedback!
